Wetherspoons
This Wetherspoons always looks so welcoming and bright when you walk past. It lightens up the street it is on, and looks so grand and really well kept against lots of other shops in Newton Abbot! A great place to socialise, whether you are going for just a drink, a snack, or a meal.

Check out the themed food nights, they're fantastic value. Mine's the curry club, delicious for under five pounds.

Consistently one of the liveliest pubs in Newton Abbot, even on midweek nights. Food and drinks are, as ever with Wetherspoons, fantastic value. Very few spend a night out in Newton without a drink in 'Spoons'

The Richard Hopkins, Wetherspoons Newton Abbot
I give it 5 stars because it has become a real home from home for me! The staff are all very helpful and polite, and if ever there's a problem with a meal that comes out they are happy to sort it out for you. This has happened so rarely to me but I have witnessed other customers having complaints resolved from time to time, usually something not too huge like bread not coming out with an order of fish and chips.
The Thai Noodle Salad is delicious and one of the most healthy meals in the place, having said that the Vegetarian breakfast is really delicious and hearty. The meat eater's Traditional Breakfast is, I'm told, very nice too. We like to order a round of toast to share with ours.
The building itself caters well for disabled people and I know people who have had need to use them. The staff at the bar will give you a key to the door, which you return - the door is just to the left of the bar itself. The ladies' toilets upstairs are - to quote some children who I overheard whilst in there this week "really posh!" lol - always clean and checked every half hour.
