A good honest pub. Friendly, welcoming locals, good grub, fair-priced drinks and one of the best pool tables about. One of Newton's best.

Good honest grub!
What a gem of a pub this is! The Jolly Abbot in Newton Abbot has a really relaxed down to earth feel about it. It is a great friendly atmosphere to go for a drink or a meal. The food is excellent. It is great value and good sized portions. We have been here on a number of occasions and have yet to be disappointed. It is consistently good. It is not just a matter of quantity over quality either. Although I have to admit this is sometimes what you want from pub grub. Do not get me wrong, it is not exceptional cuisine but it is tasty, warm and filling.

great place to eat
this is a great place to go and eat,prices are not too expensive and you are greeted with a friendly welcome,there is a warm atmosphere here and the meals are fantastic,I cant recommend this enough.
